Hi everyone,
In light of the ever growing cluster that has unfortunately affected gym goers in HK we would like to take this opportunity to provide all of you with some updates and changes to studio policy.
We ask that for your health, the health of your trainer, and the health of the wider community that you please spare a few minutes to read this email in its entirety.
Studio Updates:
No Calibrate staff or clients have been directly implicated in this latest outbreak.
On Thursday (11 March) Calibrate Studios closed from midday and remained closed the entire weekend. We were not asked to do so, nor were we required to do so, we did so out of an abundance of caution in order to minimise foot traffic into the studio.
The studio was cleaned on Thursday (11 March) & again on Saturday (13 March).
All trainers were retested on either Thursday and Friday. All trainers have a negative test.
Policy Updates:
No group classes will be held at Calibrate or in Happy Valley from March 15-21. Group classes will instead be offered online.
“One Gym” policy. If you train at another gym, see any other personal trainers outside Calibrate, or attend any group classes outside Calibrate, please do not come to Calibrate until March 22.
If you or anyone in your household is under mandatory testing order please do not come into the studio until you can show us a negative test result from the appropriate party.
Mandatory mask wearing for both clients and trainers at all times (this is also mandated by the government).
Mandatory temperature screening, hand sanitising & scanning into either "Leave Home Safe" app or Calibrate Google Form (scan QR code).
No shoes inside the studio at all. Please leave them in the shoe cabinet outside.
Please refrain from showering unless absolutely essential.
Please bring your own water bottle to the studio. No water glasses will be made available. If you don’t have a water bottle, you may purchase one from our studio.
As always, we ask that common sense prevail. If you or anyone in your household is feeling unwell please do not come into the studio. If you or anyone in your household have been asked to take a test please do keep us updated with your results. If you suspect that you may be required to take a test due to your workplace or social circle, please do not come into the studio.
Most importantly, if you are not comfortable coming into the studio to train please do not feel obligated to do so - taking a week off is not going to have long term impacts on your health.
All trainers at Calibrate understand now is the time for extra precautions. All trainers are more than willing to also offer Zoom class alternatives if you would prefer.
It has been a rollercoaster of a year (and a bit) and a lot of us are reeling from this latest wave. Our hearts and thoughts are with everyone who has been affected. If you have any other questions or concerns please do reach out to us either by email or talk to your trainer directly.
As always, stay clean, stay healthy, wash those hands, stay positive, and keep smiling.
Best,
The Calibrate Studios Team
